This Weeks's Program

This week Rotarian Mike Guard will do a program on about Muskogee Public Schools - the present and the future.

Guests
Our guests last week were George Sofield as a guest of Janey Boydston, Darcy Jaggers as a guest of Dr. Daivid Jones, Windy Beberstien as a guest of Jim Ritchie, and Kendall Dean as a guest of Catherine Clay. Kendall is also a Rotarian from Tahlequah. Welcome back anytime.

Offsite Lunch & Program
On March 25th 11:30 to 1:00, we will be back to the Civic Center again to attend a political forum involving all of the city candidates.
They will talk about the issues facing Muskogee and their ideas and solutions for helping Muskogee continue to grow. As a Rotary member your meal will be covered and meals for your guests will be $8.00. A registration email will be coming later just as we did on the last one.

New Member Proposal
George Sofield has been approved for membership by the board. George is the Muskogee Site Director for Sojourn Care and is sponsored by Janey Boydston. Any objections to this proposal should be sent, in writing, to President Hershel by Thursday, March 11th.

New Membership Drive Coming
We are kicking off our Spring membership drive. There will be prizes given out every Thursday. If you bring a guest your name will go into the drawing for the prizes. This Thursday is Lady's Day! Anyone bringing a lady will have their name put in twice per each lady they bring for the drawing. Also we will give out a prize to any person that brings more guests than anyone else. We have three grand prizes. At the end of the contest the person that has recruited the most members will receive an iPod touch. If there is a tie, we will have a drawing to determine the winner. There will also be a GPS that is given away and a $50 gift certificate for dinner at a nice restaurant. Anyone that has recruited a member will be in the drawing for the GPS. Anyone that has brought guests will be in the drawing for the gift certificate. We want you to have fun with this but remember that we are doing this because we believe in Rotary's motto, "Service above self." We need your help to make a difference.
